Pic Pleased Despite Early Practice Crash

Charles Pic believes Caterham are in good shape for this weekend’s British Grand Prix although he didn’t enjoy the smoothest of Fridays at Silverstone. The Frenchman crashed at Club in the heavy rain of FP1 but thankfully that didn’t disrupt his afternoon programme and he would go on to finish twentieth, one place behind teammate Giedo van der Garde. “We knew from the forecasts that FP1 would be affected by the weather but it made the whole session pretty worthless”, commented Pic. “The installation lap was fine but then we waited until about ten minutes to go when there were quite a few other cars on track and unfortunately I went off in the last corner.
