WMSC ratifies testing & points penalty

In-season testing will return to Formula One next season after the World Motor Sport Council approved four two-day tests. The FIA's WMSC met at Goodwood House on Friday to discuss various proposals including in-season testing, which has been banned since 2009. It was agreed that next season there will be four two-day tests that will take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the wake of grand prix weekends. Which races they will follow has yet to be decided but it will be European events. In return, the teams will do away with their current eight one-day promotional days as well as the three-day Young Driver Test.
