Designer Matt Morris to leave Sauber

Sauber Chief Designer Matt Morris is to leave Hinwil-based outfit. He will be replaced on July 1 by Eric Gandelin, who moves up from his role as Head of Concept Design. It has not yet been confirmed as to when Morris, who joined the team as Head of Mechanical Design in April 2011 before being promoted, will officially depart. "Matt decided to leave the company," a Sauber spokeswoman told GPUpdate.net. "His successor will be Eric Gandelin who has been Head of Concept Design and will commence on July 1. The date of Matt's departure is yet to be determined." Morris had previously worked at Williams for nine seasons from 2003-2011.
