Brawn to represent Mercedes before FIA tribunal

Team principal Ross Brawn will represent Mercedes on Thursday before the International Tribunal of the ruling motorsport body FIA which is to decide whether recent tyre tests by the German team and the rubbers' makers Pirelli were illegal or not. A Mercedes spokesman Tuesday confirmed that Brawn will be at the Paris hearing while motorsport chief Toto Wolff and supervisory board chief Niki Lauda will not go the Paris. Mercedes conducted tyre tests requested by Pirelli in May in Spain, but Red Bull and Ferrari lodged protests because the tests were conducted with the 2013 car and its regular Formula One drivers Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton.
