Mercedes 'welcomes' FIA International Tribunal summons

Mercedes has said it will 'welcome the opportunity' to go to the FIA International Tribunal and 'explain the full facts' of the tyre test it conducted with Pirelli following last month's 2013 F1 Spanish Grand Prix.News of the decision to refer the matter to the International Tribunal broke on Wednesday evening, with a statement on the FIA site saying the test 'may constitute a breach of the applicable FIA rules' [see separate story - HERE].In response, Mercedes has now released its own statement: "Mercedes-Benz acknowledges the decision of the FIA to take the matter of the Pirelli Test before the International Tribunal," it read."We welcome the opportunity to explain the...
