Pirelli trusts teams will accept new tyre

Pirelli is confident that Formula 1 teams will accept the introduction of its modified 2013 tyres for the British Grand Prix. The new rear tyres will feature the same compounds, but with the construction changed by the replacement of the existing steel belt with a kevlar one, as used last year. The new tyres are designed to tackle the problems experienced in the Bahrain and Spanish GP weekends Teams will each be given two sets of the new rubber for evaluation during Friday practice for this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix.
