Felipe Massa struck with grid penalty after gearbox change
Felipe Massa’s Monaco Grand Prix weekend has taken a turn for the worse after his almighty incident during final practice, with the Brazilian driver incurring a five-place grid penalty following a gearbox change on his Ferrari machine. It is still currently unknown whether Massa will be able to partake in qualifying.
Towards the latter stages of the third and final practice session ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix, Felipe Massa slammed violently into the retaining barriers heading into Turn 1, utterly destroying his F138 machine.
