Tost: Drivers need to perform exceptionally
Toro Rosso team boss Franz Tost has argued that drivers Jean-Éric Vergne and Daniel Ricciardo need to deliver "exceptionally good" performances for the remainder of the 2013 Formula 1 season if one of them is to qualify for a Red Bull graduation. Although a seat is not yet available at the World Champion squad, Mark Webber's future talks hold the potential to free up a space for 2014. With this in mind, Tost reckons both Vergne and Ricciardo need to impress on every race weekend. "At the moment I would answer with a ‘yes and no’," Tost explained to the official Formula 1 website when asked if either of his drivers could make the step up to Red Bull next year....
