Perez refuses to apologise to Button

Sergio Perez says he has not apologised to Jenson Button after the McLaren team-mates made contact on track while racing for position at the Bahrain Grand Prix. Perez nudged the back of Button's car during the skirmish and later touched wheels with his team-mate while travelling at 300km/h. Immediately after the race Button labelled Perez's driving as "dirty" but on Monday he tweeted that the pair had met to "clear the air". However, Perez said at no point during the post-race debrief had he apologised to his team-mate, arguing that it was not necessary to do so.
