Kovalainen rejoins Caterham as reserve

Heikki Kovalainen will take part in first practice for this weekend’s 2013 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix after rejoining Caterham to serve as one of two reserve drivers alongside Alexander Rossi.Kovalainen, a former race winner with McLaren, competed for Caterham from 2010 to 2012, before he and team mate Vitaly Petrov were dropped in favour of Charles Pic and Giedo van der Garde for the 2013 season.The 31-year-old Finn will participate in FP1 at the next two Grands Prix as part of a formal technical development role he is taking up with Caterham, helping support the introduction of the team’s first performance updates to their 2013 car, the CT03.“It’s...
