Pirelli changes Bahrain tyre allocation

Sole Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli has decided to make a late change to its allocation for the Bahrain Grand Prix weekend, removing the Soft compound and replacing it with the Medium rubber amid fears over intense degradation at the Sakhir venue. At last weekend's Chinese Grand Prix, no driver completed more than seven laps on the softer Option rubber, leading the Italian manufacturer to make the change for what it has described as "one of the most demanding tracks" of the season.
