Alonso takes comfortable Shanghai win

Fernando Alonso took a comfortable victory in Sunday afternoon’s Chinese Grand Prix, overcoming his rivals in a race dominated by the Pirelli tyre compounds. The Ferrari driver finished 10 seconds clear of Kimi Räikkönen, who is one of a number of drivers under investigation for potentially using DRS under yellow flags. Pole-sitter Lewis Hamilton just held onto the final podium position after a late comeback from Prime-tyre starter Sebastian Vettel. More to follow. The fourth round of the 2013 season takes place in Bahrain from 19-21 April, with practice, qualifying and the race covered via the GPUpdate.net Live Report
