McLaren suffer qualifying woes

Melbourne, 17th, 2013 (F1plus/G. Polychronis).- The McLaren-Mercedes team is placed in a difficult situation ahead of Sunday's race, as both drivers are well off the pace of their main contenders, which is displayed by their poor qualifying results. Tyre decisions proved to be Perez' main influence on his poor qualifying result, which he reiterated: "The luck was not with us today, because when we put the first set of Options on, I had a puncture and when I went back to the pits, I lost a lot of time because of the puncture that happened in turn 9. So I lost a lot of time to come back into the pits and then we went for another set of Options, there was no time to come back to the pits...
