Alonso out-qualified by Massa, but aims for podium

Felipe Massa not only continued his strong run from the end of last season but went even better during qualifying for the Australian Grand Prix on Sunday morning. Convincingly beaten by his teammate since paired at Ferrari, the Brazilian out-qualified Fernando Alonso in the season-opener giving Massa a much needed boost early in the campaign. 'Starting from a good position is a positive and encouraging sign for the start of this championship,' said Massa, who will line up fourth on the grid.
