Mercedes boss plays down testing pace

4 March, 2013 Toto Wolff with Ross Brawn Mercedes motorsport boss Toto Wolff has played down the significance of Mercedes' speed and form that emerged on the final two days of testing in Barcelona, after Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg smashed the Circuit de Catalunya lap record on two consecutive days, during their stints in the W03. Wolff told DPA, 'I have to dampen them because they are quite simply not realistic. It is of course pleasant to be at the front in testing but it means nothing.' Last year the Silver Arrows also showed impressive pace early on in the season, and Rosberg even won the Chinese GP, but thereafter their campaign was derailed to the point that they were struggling...
