Hamilton sets fastest time of the test

Lewis Hamilton set the fastest time of the penultimate morning of pre-season testing, clocking a lap over a second quicker than anybody else in the last two weeks. For the first time this week the Circuit de Catalunya was bathed in sunshine and Hamilton did not hold back as he set a 1:20.557 on the soft tyre compound. He managed three other laps in the 1:20s on separate five-lap runs during the morning, suggesting there is even more time in the car if it runs on even lower fuel. His nearest competitor was Force India's Adrian Sutil, who was 1.069s off the Mercedes and also on soft tyres.
