Hamilton ends rain-hit Barcelona test quickest

Lewis Hamilton ended up fastest on the final day of the second pre-season test in Barcelona on Friday. The Mercedes driver made the most of a break in the showers to post a 1:23.383, to nudge his former team-mate Jenson Button into second place. The session was run entirely under wet conditions as the weather took a turn for the worse on the final day. Nobody could improve on the morning times. Eight red flags stopped running as the drivers got to grips with the wet track including Esteban Gutierrez who ended up in the gravel at turn four.
