Frijns gets three-day GP2 test with Trident

"true">Robin Frijns will test for Trident Racing at the Circuito de Jerez next week, with the Sauber reserve driver being handed three-days of running by the Italian squad. The reigning Formula Renault 3.5 Champion previously explained to GPUpdate.net that a GP2 drive alongside his Sauber commitments would be 'the most logical step' this season, but financial backing has always been a thorn in the Dutchman's side. "It's only a test, but hopefully it will lead to more," Frijns told GPUpdate.net on Friday. "I'll just have to do my best and hopefully that will be good enough.
