Alonso fastest on penultimate day in Barcelona
By Editor on Thursday, February 21, 2013 Fernando Alonso sent Ferrari to the top of the timesheets after setting the fastest lap on the penultimate day of the second pre-season test at the Circuit de Catalunya in Spain.
Alonso's time of 1:21.875 was just shy of three tenths of a second quicker than the Sauber of Nico Hulkenberg.
Most of the quickest lap times were set during the morning session as most of the eleven teams concentrated on race simulations during the afternoon.
Romain Grosjean was in third place and was the busiest driver, completing 119 laps. The Frenchman completed a race simulation of 66 laps in the afternoon as Lotus made up for lost time after problems struck Kimi...
