Perez sets early pace in testing
McLaren's Sergio Perez set the pace mid-way through the first morning of the second pre-season test. The Mexican was 0.158 seconds faster than Mercedes' Nico Rosberg after two and-a-half hours' running. Force India's Paul di Resta was third fastest, 0.297secs off the pace as teams made a slow start to the test. Fourth fastest was Ferrari's Fernando Alonso, who was having his first run in the 2013 car after deciding to sit out the first test two weeks ago. While team-mate Felipe Massa and development driver Pedro de la Rosa drove in Jerez, Alonso was in Dubai focusing on his mental and physical preparation.
