F1 dream over as Valencia street circuit crumbles

24 January, 2013 Valencia's F1 foray as the European Grand Prix hosts is apparently over, with a Spanish newspaper reporting that the once glamourous street circuit is now falling into serious ruin and disrepair. The chances the former harbour-side venue will return to the calendar in the future therefore seem dim, as Marca newspaper publishes images that suggest the facility is no longer being even minimally maintained. Thieves have stripped the circuit infrastructure of any valuable items like electronic control boxes, while an access tunnel is completely flooded by standing water.
