Memorial service held for Sid Watkins

The planned memorial service to celebrate the life and work of the late Professor Sid Watkins, Formula 1's chief doctor from the 1978 season through to the end of 2005, was held in London on Friday morning, with around 200 people in attendance. Beginning at 11.30am, various F1 and medical figures arrived to pay their respects, including FIA President Jean Todt, World Champions Damon Hill and Jody Scheckter, plus Watkins's original successor, Gary Hartstein, who has now left the sport.
