Turvey adds LMP2 race deal to McLaren test role
McLaren test and reserve driver Oliver Turvey is to supplement his duties with the Woking-based outfit by racing with Jota Sport in the European Le Mans Series in 2013.The 25-year-old, who will join Simon Dolan in the Jota Sport Zytek-Nissan LMP2, taking in all the events in the ELMS, will also contest selected rounds of the FIA World Endurance Championship, including a planned assault on the Le Mans 24 Hours pending an invitation from ACO.“I am thrilled and delighted to be joining Jota Sport for the 2013 season,” said Turvey. “I am extremely excited to begin working with the team and can't wait to get behind the wheel of the LMP2 car.
