Gené to continue as Ferrari test driver

Marc Gené has renewed his test driver contract with Ferrari for the 2013 season. The Spaniard, a member of the famous marque since 2004, will also continue his WEC programme with Audi, contesting the Spa 1000km and Le Mans 24 hours events. 'It is an honor for me to continue with Ferrari for the ninth consecutive year,' said Gené, who drove for Minardi and Williams during his time in Formula 1. 'The goal is give Fernando Alonso a winning car and also for Ferrari to get the Constructors' title. I feel very comfortable with the development work that the team is completing.'
