Pirelli eager for extended F1 stay

Pirelli motorsport boss Paul Hembery says he hopes the tyre company can remain in F1 for 'eight to ten years' having had a noticeable impact on the sport since making a return to the grid.Pirelli has been sole supplier since the start of the 2011 season, with its tyres having had a major role to play in strategy over the past two seasons as teams and drivers worked to get the best from the tyres at their disposal.Speaking to N Hembery said that the Pirelli board was keen to continue beyond its current deal – which runs to the end of 2013 – and that an extended stay would be most beneficial to the company in the long-term.However, he also admitted that things could also change in the...
