Fernando Alonso has defended Ferrari over its decision to seek clarification on Sebastian Vettel's allegedly illegal overtake in Brazil, explaining that the team 'owed its fans an answer' in the wake of the footage being discovered. The Spaniard, who says he did not follow the controversy closely, insists it was the right choice.
