Lehto cleared of manslaughter charges

Former Formula One driver JJ Lehto (Jyrki Juhani Järvilehto) has been cleared of all charges relating to the death of a friend in 2010. Lehto, who drove for Onyx, Scuderia Italia, Sauber and Benetton between 1989 and 1994, was sentenced to two years and four months in jail after a court charged him with manslaughter following a speed boat accident in Finland. The 46-year-old appealed the charges after claiming he wasn't in charge of the boat at the time, but sitting in the back at the time of the accident.
